Day 4 Market in Olhao

Jet-lag and general over-all fatigue have caught up with this intrepid blogger. However, the enticements of a local Saturday market drew me into a journey with Randy and Gwen to Olhao. I thought we were going to a gypsy market – that’s actually on Sunday in another town. This was an amazing market, just the same. the fish market was a complete entity on its own and served to emphasize the importance of the industry economically and socially.

  1. Oh dear, some of that seafood had me thinking… “eek!!” I know they like to leave the heads on the fish when cooking and presenting it on your plate but I’d have to get someone to swiftly chop it off for me if I were going to eat the rest! LOL

That would be a big NO THANKS on the eel for me.

It’s bad I know but I have to push aside the fact that I’m eating living creatures these days, so when I see them in their whole form… yeah that’s just not appealing to me at all.

Looks like it was a beautiful day there and did I hear something about you out sunning by the pool??? Lord have mercy I only wish we had that option here in Ontario right now. Here we would be skating ON the pool.

Looking forward to more beautiful pictures and comments.
