
Wandering the roads and pathways of Estoi is a never ending pleasure. Especially when my guide is Randy. He knows so much about the area and when and where to look for items of interest. Particularly flowers. In this instance, Passion Flowers along a fence enclosing part of the Pousada grounds. I would have missed them entirely without him.



It has become my custom to revisit certain spots just to see if anything has changed. A mundane trip to the recycle bins is a case in point:



Hiking a familiar trail in reverse also yields some surprises, I’ve learned.There are things that get missed when travelling a path in the same direction every time.









Travelling means making friends and at some point saying goodbye or at least au revoir. On Friday evening, we all got together in Olhão to wish Michel and Louise “bon voyage” as they were heading back to Canada in the next few days.



It was a fantastic evening of friendship, good food and lots of laughter. I actually found a sign outside of a shop that spoke to me very clearly:
