Lunch, Beach and Ocean

Sunshine ad blue skies predominated on Saturday January 14 and the suggestion of lunch at Dinis’s restaurant followed by a trip to Barril Beach sounded promising. Since I wasn’t familiar with the route to the restaurant, I elected to follow Randy, Marc and Joanne. Unfortunately, Jackson had stay home as dogs are not allowed on the beach and I wasn’t certain about the restaurant.

The meals were delicious and the restaurant was filling up rapidly by the time we left. The highway to Barril Beach is fairly direct and luckily Randy gave me directions before we left the restaurant. About 3/4s of the way there, the gas light came on indicating it was time to refuel. It’s a brand new Fiat Panda and the instructions indicated it wasn’t a good thing to drive any distance after that light came on, I pulled into the nearest filling station and fed the beast. In the meantime, I lost contact with my friends who were ahead of me! No worries, I made it to the beach but never saw them again that day.

After a long leisurely walk to the beach and a soak in the sun on the sand, it was time to head for Estoi and my wee, furry friend. He was very happy to see me and go out and explore more of the neighbourhood.

And so we saw the end of another day as we said good night to the lamb, sheep and cow.
