Birds and bees and flowers and trees…

It’s been more than a week since I’ve returned to the Algarve from Istanbul. It was wonderful to be back, to have Jackson’s company and to acclimate to familiar surroundings. The weather over the past few days has been cool, wet, and windy. The result is that everything is green and flourishing now that the sun has returned. There are several hoopoe birds hanging about the neighbourhood, possibly nesting in the orchard. Finally got a few shots of two of them. So here’s a collection of shots from walks in recent days,

Climbing the hills beyond Estoi never ceases toggle me a sense of wonder as the Algarve moves towards Spring. The rain has made the clay trails somewhat slippery and the red mud sticks like glue to the boots. Doesn’t seem to bother Jackson!

Each day has a rhythm of its own and brings its own delights!
