Five Feet, Nine Inches Above Ground

As you may have gathered by now, we do eat well here in the Algarve. Thus, one sun-filled day, Randy, Marc and myself, made the trip to a favourite restaurant of ours: Tia Bia. I had wanted to celebrate my birthday there in February but they weren’t open so this was a makeup visit. Of course, we sat outside on the terrace. The food, the wine and the service were excellent.

Barranco do Velho, besides being the home of Tia Bia, also hosts a marvellous hiking trail where the elusive green flowered lavender grows. We didn’t do the hike this particular trip but it will come up again. I promise!
