March weather being what it is, it was Wednesday March 30 before we set out on another hike. This time a leisurely repeat of one of the Fonte Benémola trails. The recent rains seem to have brought forth an abundance of plants including orchids.
The hikers were the usual suspects: Randy, Gary, Patricia and myself.
And then it was time for lunch! The choice was a small roadside restaurant with a good reputation for its food menu and homemade ice cream.
We sat outside in the sun and gorged ourselves. The ice cream at the end of the meal was a wonderful delicious treat.
On the return trip to Estoi, Randy made a wee detour so I could see these beautiful but captive parrots.
And thus another lovely day in the Algarve moved towards its tranquil close.
