A new Sunday rhythm

Personally, Sunday has been a performance day given over to my duties as a church organist and choir director in various guises. In Estoi, I have escaped all of that, and the first day of the week takes on a new flavour, a more relaxed beat. So, a morning of laundry, a lovely long walk with Jackson and then a trip to Randy and Marc and Joanne’s house for a walk in the country.

We chose to explore a small road next to the property where they are staying. We hoped it would lead us up one of local hills but it didn’t. There was plenty to see: a first poppy of the season, an incredible field of paper whites in bloom and so much for Jackson to explore.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Marc was happily working on a project in his outdoor studio in the shade of the bougainvillea.

And then it was time to take a small dog home for a bath. He had found something extremely odorous to roll in!
