Five Feet, Nine Inches Above Ground

Yes, the day finally arrived – February 9th -and a huge thank you to Randy and Marc and Joanne for making my day so extra special. The hike I had hoped we would take didn’t happen because of rain the previous day: muddy trails are slippery trails and not that safe. However, the clouds did clear out and we all went for lunch to a wonderful near the valley where the hike would have happened: Cantinho da Serra.

The company and conversation was wonderful and the food plentiful and delicious. Some of us had dessert! On the way home, we stopped to explore the head of the trail not taken and to take some photos of an acacia tree in bloom.

It was a birthday to remember but I didn’t take many photos!
