Five Feet, Nine Inches Above Ground

It’s feels wonderful to be back in Portugal, again! We (Jackson and I ) arrived in Estoi, Portugal last evening, Monday January 8, after a flight to Lisbon from Montreal and a train trip from Lisbon to Faro. It was the best kind of trip – uneventful although a tad off schedule. It was dark and raining when we arrived at the Quinta to be greeted by Konrad who made sure there was a roaring fire in the fireplace, bread, wine and cheeses on the table, and the lights on. It was such a warm welcome and deeply appreciated.

After a wakeful night, Tuesday was spent rounding up some supplies locally and taking Jackson for several walks. It was a mauzy sort of day, overcast with light, misty rain. Everything is so green. And the photo taking began, of course.

It was a day filled with the local ordinary stuff plus several naps! Followed by a simple home cooked meal accompanied by red wine and a chat with Randy and Marc. Tomorrow will be here soon enough!
